OCEANSCAPES Founder Kristin Hettermann was inspired to create a product line of ocean art pieces that could be used and admired, but also support and raise awareness for the challenges the ocean is facing, “I have been very impressed with the efficient and effective work that Ocean Global has done in the past few years in the ocean conservation space and wanted to do something to support their goals. Among other things, Oceanic Global takes a uniquely creative approach to conservation, creating immersive experiences that engage local communities, amplify the efforts of synergistic groups, generate measurable impact, and ignite global action.”
Targeting an international audience with a predominantly millennial focus, one of Oceanic’s recent major community events in Ibiza was a major influence in Ibiza’s government passing policy to go single use plastic free by 2020. Funds raised through this OCEANSCAPES Lifestyle Collection will benefit The Oceanic Standard program, focused on removing plastic from the waste cycle and encouraging businesses to adopt sustainable practices.

ABOUT KRISTIN HETTERMANN and OCEANSCAPES
Kristin Hettermann is an international ocean conservationist that uses the camera as a tool to tap into emotions and elicit deeper feelings about her favorite part of planet earth, the ocean. Her artivism platform, OCEANSCAPES, is modeled to combine science, art, and activism and she is often in the field with scientists and naturalists exploring natural environments and capturing images that help tell their stories. Her mission is to inspire you to feel the ocean.
“My OCEANSCAPES artivism conceptual ideology developed over a decade of extensive international travel and ocean exploration, as I continued to share my photography as art including inherent cause messaging and experiential insight. I realized that there was a niche for combining art with storytelling, philanthropy, and science to share important messages and inspire people to make the connection between beauty, empathy, and action.” Founder Kristin Hettermann
